Since 2020, Food for Thought distributed over 150, 000 meals. During the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic, meal distribution drastically increased due to high community needs.

Each year, we provide meals at peak times throughout the season. Food insecurity increases during holidays. FFT ensures a healthy meal at Christmas, Easter & Thanksgiving.
About Us
Food for Thought by the Sea actively seeks new opportunities to partner with peer organizations in our local community. Together, we strive to develop creative outlets, social awareness and positive learning environments for youth. Marilyn Schlossbach is committed to strengthening her local community. Throughout her culinary career, Schlossbach has been an advocate for environmental issues, culinary arts and grassroots community outreach.
We are the proud recipients of the 2022 Impact 100 Grant in collaboration with The Boys and Girls Club of Monmouth County. Through this grant we are training youth from the Boys and Girls Club in soft skills that translate across all fields of work.

We are a vehicle for change - literally! Our food truck is staffed by trained, underserved youth. This truck acts as a mobile kitchen establishing collaborations between community organizations while providing awareness & financial means.

The unemployment rate in Monmouth County is 4.20%. We provide the local youth with work opportunities that will improve their skills and train them for future careers.
